Cetus: is negotiating with the Hacker to return assets.
Odaily News Decentralization trading protocol Cetus announced an update on X, reporting the latest handling progress of the earlier attack incident. Currently, the team has completed the identification and repair of the vulnerability source and is collaborating with the Sui team, third-party organizations, and anti-cybercrime organizations to trace funds and mark the hacker's wallet, while communicating with law enforcement agencies to seek assistance. Cetus stated: "It has been confirmed that the Ethereum wallet address controlled by the involved hacker has been identified, and a 'white hat reconciliation plan' has been proposed: if the hacker returns the remaining assets within the deadline, a reward of 2,324 ETH (approximately 6 million USD) will be given to the hacker, and no legal responsibility will be pursued. Currently, the community's primary task remains the recovery of the damaged assets, and a complete incident report will be published later."
