The Value Loss in the Blockchain Industry: Reshaping the Pursuit of Youth Spirit

The character of the youth determines the future of the nation. This phrase originates from the insight of a thinker in the early 20th century, who placed the hopes of the nation on the younger generation. How the youth view the world, conduct themselves, and judge right from wrong will all shape the prospects of the nation.

For a long time, we seem to have ignored the examination of the spiritual level. The country is developing rapidly, opportunities are everywhere, and people are focused on making money, leaving little time for deep thinking. The criteria for measuring the value of things are often simplified to monetary benefits, and society tends to divide classes based on wealth. Spiritual pursuits have gradually become niche, regarded as lofty, unsociable, or detached from reality. This atmosphere even affects the courage to express such views, as if they are out of sync with the mainstream.

In the field of blockchain, this trend is even more pronounced. Under the rhythm of "one day in the crypto world is equivalent to a year in the human world", people have almost no time to think, everything is profit-oriented. Many have quit their jobs to fully devote themselves to trading cryptocurrencies or blockchain projects, chasing the myth of wealth creation with returns often in the thousands. However, what is the reality behind these phenomena? What impact will they have on the values and methodologies of young people? Young people are easily attracted by the illusion of quick wealth, especially when wealth seems within reach. Some industry moguls even openly share methods for cutting韭菜 and collecting IQ taxes, while those being cut remain blindly worshipful. Nowadays, concepts like community, society, and IP have become distorted in the crypto world, mostly devolving into tools for cultivating new韭菜 or reaping old韭菜.

Indeed, building a personal IP and forming a technical team, these internet mindsets also have a certain market in the cryptocurrency sphere. Many people are keen on managing communities and shaping personal brands, with various media outlets and public accounts springing up like mushrooms after rain. This phenomenon is very similar to the group unconscious decision-making described in "The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind." Cryptocurrency communities often become typical crowds, where collective decision-making is easily swayed by the opinions of big shots, leading to subsequent behaviors like delegate investment and taking over. Do these communities really hold value? Even if someone is confident they won't become the last buyer, can they guarantee that every time it won't be the case? Even industry leaders find it hard to ensure, as evidenced by the frequent disputes lately.

We should reflect: do our actions bring value and progress to society and the industry? We should guide young people to create value and promote progress, rather than viewing making money as the only standard. When it comes to blockchain projects, the primary consideration should be what actual value they can bring. Hot speculation requires hype, but not necessarily substantive value. When encountering popular projects, calmly consider what practical functions they have aside from speculative hype, and do not be misled by appearances such as teams, advisors, stock markets, and trends.

Our development has been very fast, and now we need to slow down. We should focus on overcoming technical challenges and strive to take a leading position in the open-source public chain field. We should dedicate ourselves to building an ecosystem that truly empowers the real economy with blockchain, rather than consuming resources. We should cultivate the correct values in the younger generation, as this is the hope for both the blockchain industry and the country.

Not everyone is suitable to be an educator, IP, community operator, cryptocurrency trader, investor, or content creator. Find your position, work diligently, and you will eventually reap abundant rewards.
