The total amount of global blockchain financing in 2019 was 4.7 billion USD, with exchanges being the most attractive for investment.
In 2019, the global Blockchain industry financing activities showed a significant Fluctuation rise trend. A total of 653 financing events occurred throughout the year, with a total financing amount close to 4.7 billion USD. The overall financing frequency exhibited a Fluctuation rise, with financing activities in the second half of the year increasing by more than 50% compared to the first half.
From the monthly data, financing activities significantly increased in July and August, with a total of 146 cases over the two months. October reached the peak of annual financing activities, with 84 financing events occurring that month, accounting for nearly 13% of the annual total. However, the financing market experienced substantial Fluctuation in the fourth quarter, with only 39 financing events in December, below the annual average of 54.4 cases per month.

In China, financing events are mainly concentrated in industrial agglomeration areas. The Beijing region stands out the most, with a total of 93 financing events throughout the year, attracting over $370 million in investment. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area follows, with a cumulative 30 financing events and a total amount exceeding $100 million. In contrast, the financing activity in the Yangtze River Delta region is relatively weak. Additionally, Hainan also had 10 financing events.
Overall, in 2019, the global Blockchain financing market showed a warming trend, with investment focus gradually shifting from digital assets to real-world application scenarios.
