Q1: Can you tell us about Throne please?
Zac: Throne Labs is a blockchain company building extraordinary experiences for the decentralized web, also known as Web3.
It’s a foundation where users own their own data, digital transactions are secure, and exchanges of information and value are decentralized.
$THN is the utility token for the Throne community, network, and eco designed to democratize platforms and to provide an infrastructure to power tomorrow’s economy.
Web3 is a very popular iteration of an evolution of Web2 that incorporates concepts such as decentralization and token based-economies.
At the most basic level, Web3 refers to a decentralized online eco based on the blockchain.
Platforms and apps built on Web3 won’t be owned by a central gatekeeper, but rather by users, who will earn their ownership stake by helping to develop and maintain those services.
We started our exploration phase in late 2020, we established formally in 2021. We are a rather diverse team, spread across the globe, with myself in New York, and the rest of the team in Singapore, Los Angeles, Dubai and London.

Q2: Can you also please tell us about yourself, the team, and the founders?
Zac: Throne Labs is supported by a collective of blockchain engineers and led by an accomplished team from the creative and cultural realm.
Co-founders include British award-winning music producer Nellee Hooper (known for his work with Madonna, U2),
seasoned media utive Gee Roberson the manager of Kanye West (also the former manager of Drake, Nicki Minaj),
Chimere Cisse a former communications utive at Burberry,
Sotheby’s Institute alumni Julia Pavlovska, veteran blockchain architect Anthony Karter, and blockchain venture capitalist Qinghua Li.
I have been involved with the project from the start, but have stepped in as CEO at the start of 2022.
I am 48 years old, I was born and raised in Hong Kong, I have been educated in London and New York, I hold a degree in Computer Science from Fordham University.
Prior to joining the founders at Throne Labs, I was at Pluto TV, the largest online television service with 60+ million users, Pluto TV was sold to Viacom in 2019 for $320 million, I was one of the very first employees, number 2 actually, working directly with the founder Ilya Pozin before and after launch.
At Throne I am here to lead the project forward and continue the strategy as we go deeper and deeper into applications that support the Web3 eco, including integrating with other blockchains such as Solana.
It’s a very exciting time for us all and a humbling experience for me.
Q3: And what have you built and what have you built so far?
Zac: Our overall objective is to bring cutting edge applications for the decentralized web. This includes platforms where users control their own data, identity and destiny.
We’re a mix of software engineers, art and media professionals, that are influencing contemporary culture in our developments and methodology.
We built and successfully launched a magnificent NFT platform that is being used by some really talented artists.
One of our founders, Gee Roberson, has been in the creative world for over two decades, working with Jay Z as head of A&R at Roca-Fella-Rocrds, and at Atlantic Records, he was formerly the manager for such iconic talents as Drake, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj. He is today the manager for Kanye West,
so we are great believers in aesthetics, in design, in the integrity of the product, and we apply a great amount of attention to detail, as we say internally ‘Every pixel counts’.
We are now also building Throne City, a vibrant city in the metaverse, governed by the THN community.
Throne City Metaverse presents a high-quality immersive experience in a metaverse that is controlled by the landowners.
Unlike other metaverses, the residents govern the city, and neighborhood planning, including the architecture and building plans approval for their city.
Rather than a free-for-all metaverse where anyone can do anything, or a centrally controlled environment, Throne City provides a thoughtful planning process where the participants utilize a democratic process of voting to regulate how their city and neighborhoods will develop.
Throne City’s trajectory is to be fully owned by the participants within four years, and to be governed through a voting mechanism, based on governance tokens on the Solana network.

Q4: Do you have any events planned for the near future?
Zac: Of course we do!
In the near future we are planning to airdrop THN to $MANA (Decentraland) holders, as we see them to be the best holders of THN on Solana network. We want them to be the first ones to determine how Throne City will look, so please stay tuned for the details on our social media.

Since we introduced Throne 6 months ago, over $300M has traded.
